Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth, hear our
prayers this Kapyong Day, as we remember the
gallant deeds of the members of this battalion,
who won for us, the high distinction which we
honour.
Lord we remenber those who died while fighting in
Korea, Malaya, Borneo and South Vietnam. We also
remember those who have died while training with
the battalion. Give them eternal rest in your
peace. We pray that the relatives and friends of
those who died in war will derive great
satisfaction from the deeds of their loved ones,
who gave their all for the cause of freedom. May
the families of those who died in training share
our pride that we served side by side in being
prepared to respond to our nations need. Comfort
these families, Lord and help them. May we be your
agents ensuring help to them in time of need or
distress. May the courage and determination shown
at Kapyong and later in Malaya, Borneo, South
Vietnam and East Timor, be continued by us who
serve in the Battalion today. Lord look down on us
this Kapyong Day with love and mercy. Give your
blessing to us, The Third Battalion, The Royal
Australian Regiment. Help us to serve you, our
God, in serving our sovereign and our country.
Amen

O God, we, the members of the Royal Australian
Regiment, consecrate ourselves to you by giving
ourselves body and spirit to your service and the
service of our fellow man.
Cleanse from us everything that could mar this
service. Grant that we may live our lives, that at
all times we put our duty first. Help us to think
wisely, to speak rightly, to resolve bravely, to
act kindly and to live purely. Give us the courage
to defend the cause of justice, freedom, truth and
the right to liberty. This we ask through Christ
our Lord. Amen
